Whether you're training for that next big event or struggling to get out of bed we all need a montage from time-to-time, heck, even Rocky had a montage, so why can’t you? A simple idea was borne from pop culture and created for fun. Montage is a simple point and tap app that gives you the opportunity to create and share a montage of your very own, with minimal fuss.

The Brand

To echo the definition of a montage, the branding takes on the technique of combining a single composition of pictorial elements from various sources. Multiple graphical elements are combined to create various executions of the logo representing the ever-changing flow and variety of content. The wordmark has been drawn bespoke and is designed to be fun and approachable whilst having enough restraint to survive the tests of living in the digital realm.

UX Challenge

UX challenge

There are similar products on the market, but they are either overly complex to use or offer a low-grade output. Speed, simplicity and quality are the key pillars of Montage. The app would automate the creation of the content by default, meaning that all the user would have to do is open the app, upload or shoot their footage and their video will be ready to share within minutes. There is recognition for an audience who enjoys editing and customising their own content, so that functionality is available in Montage, too - The challenge is how to reconcile the two use cases in one app while delivering a quality product.
